your eyes,
a savage harvest,
quicken me to drink from mirrors
no less liquid than tears
shed in a series
of burnt circles
beneath the thirsty
equilibrium of eyes
that will not tire
their vigil, soaked
in these most precious things
you bring, dressed
in fire, an epidermis of innocence
driven from the outside~in,
quickening in its mirror
to recieve the sacrament of words
in sinews of nerve-ends
that burn, a resonance,
explicit as split lips
dip to kiss the thigh's inner rift,
and spread its serum inward
from the cupola of eyes
in their savage harvest,
feel them rise to cast
fleeting shadows, so frail,
revealing how easily
our hearts grate on themselves,
and bruise dearer.

nice word play... even with the repeating of some words in the piece it rivets the reader to follow... the next pour of thought..

a starkness in this.. I enjoyed..

Wow!

I "sort of" said the same thing to myself once standing in front of a mirror, but not near as well as you did of course.       Morning, and bet you're crying about that baseball game, yes?

Yeah, what Aenimal said -
damn -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
