Summer Vacation Evenings

Oh how I wish I could
return to the days when
my life was simpler.
When the most pressing problem
of my day was whether I
had or had not a pimple.
When my friend would
pick me up for school in
his junky old pickup truck,
and I would spend my summer
vacation evenings trying to
get my very first (edit profanity).

Yes, times were simpler then and I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me as I read your words. However, my memories were somewhat different from yours! lol

Thank you Greeneyes and Earth Angel...I would tell you the word but its not allowed in Disneyland or Open Poetry...much too mature of a word...James
