Steak, medium rare with the trimmings as he sat
and watched her, a bit of it stuck between his
teeth. Baked potato he thought, just right for the
peeling...yes, yes she was.

A four bit diner with the normal fare, except for
one thing....legs that extended into the clouds. If
only his magic carpet were not out of gas...He
chuckled silently...his eyes never letting her from
his sight....

Lots of hustlers wandered past her table
And she found nothing particular
about this tall drink of water...even though she was a bit thirsty...
And he did have a certain savvy to his gaze.
But then again...how could he miss with those brown eyes
Steak...medium rare...her mouth watered back.

"Anything else?" she asked flatly.
The glow from the votive candle lit the amulet around her neck,
accenting the valley of her lavender blouse.
She shifted back on one hip, changing the view slightly,
and causing him to lean forward as he assured her all was well.

He knew her road had been traveled well, numerous
ruts and bumps along the way. Perhaps a marriage gone
awry, or a flame that caught her eye fleetingly, then blown
away...like a wisp of smoke...

She wore seduction well, lightly hinted by the valley of souls
which he so much craved. She could take any man and
twirl his heart, bringing it down to earth in broken shards of
want, but not to have...unless of course....she desired...

He left a tip, sizable but not boastful, that and a small note
scribbled on the back of a business card...He knew she would
see it...perhaps she would have a wicked and searching smile
because of it...

Departing slowly from the worn seat of imitation leather, the
shakiness of the table which brought a glass to jiggle, making
him think of other things that moved in the evening light...he
avoided her gaze....but he felt the warmth of brown eyes on
his back as the door swung into the mist of night....and a
corner awaited his lean...Johnnie, with an I and an E....
The air chilled him...though his heart raced...

He had barely touched the crack of the sidewalk,
When he heard a little whistle that resonated up his spine.
"You forgot somethin,' didn't you there?" reached a hand through
the night, and spun him clear around.

"Errr...did I?" he stammered.
Before the words had cleared the space between his lips,
The scorch of her own were upon him...steam rose between
the ripples of Mars and Venus...leaving him weak knees and racing pulse...
He drew her up into his grip...swallowing the thunder in his soul...

Her eyes glowed red...as she devoured him.
Yes,  steak...medium rare!

For some strange reason, I got the sense that this was about our Sexy Super Woman Susan! lol ~ Don't tell her I said that! She might perform some of her martial arts on me!

Seriously speaking, this was a fine collaborative effort by the two of you!!!

Thank you everyone for the kind responses.
It takes a brave poet to step outside the norm...and flirt with ideas and styles that are different.  And it takes a good friend to add the right spice to the recipe.
Truly enjoy cooking up these little flights of imagination with you Dear Magnus.
A pleasure every time!

I too would like to thank all who have
commented.  And Kathy,  if it were not for
the fact that the two of us are certifiably
bonkers,  we would never get our imaginations
to come forth with these silly little
jaunts of humor.

We shall return...cause SHE will make me
do it,  and she writes so darn well!!
