In my thought dreams you stand
on the corner of vagabonds
the Haight-Ashbury late
of City Lights and Beats
lost in the Summer of Love
on roller coaster streets
without you I am
marooned on Alcatraz
where neon is moonlight
and love is the winter rain
freezing roses beneath
windowsill and wire
you were earthquake nights
undulating sounds
of sea and wind
body and breath
rocking in twilight
across beds unmade
a symphony replayed
If I could write you
it would be in ink invisible
disappearing behind the pen
as it moves ever forward
capturing only the motion
of lost emotion
racing with death
to tell the stories
that never get told
from a myriad universe
of synaptic particles
destined to fall
like shooting stars
in the dark isolation
of a once beautiful mind

A vivid portrait ...and a nostalgic trip into San Franscico where I once lived.  I enjoyed your word collage!

Thanks for the return trip to City Lights, to the alleyways of HA.

Thanks, Martie.

If you lived there once, then you have truly lived.

This ran down the

"read me!"

Enjoyed!
