i stand alone
age settles on my covering
day after day
and the salt wind
scabs me brittle

my layers unpeel and reveal
me naked

but

there is so much more to me

angels see what they want

i am beacon, guiding light
and signal the darkness
(my constant companion)
for phantoms that spin
control

out of day

with
brides in shadow
under wing

this is my suffering

night after night

a hem full of fish
open-mouthed

i wait for dragonflies

cuz fate is not just whose cooking smells good
but which way the wind blows

"brides in shadow

as i wait for dragonflies"

Such a stark image....the imagery in these series are amazing.  I love dragonflies...I'll wait with you.

I am fast becoming ( actually I already am there but don't like to admit any kind of addiction LOL ) a fan of this series.  Your imagery in these mixed with the emotional impact is superb to say the least.  Loved it.  Now off to the beach for me.  Got 2 Light Houses just 15 minutes from me.

Damn Darksis!

When you've finished? You're gonna have to knit all of these together for us in a single thread.

(Yeah, I'm lazy...and greedy!)

Yummy stuff, Darkgal

angels see what they want

That they do, dark one...and that is both blessing and curse. Nothing can be hidden, but must be seen...

Sorry, you got me thinking with this, and that's not always a good idea when replying to poetry.....almost unavoidable with yours though, I'm afraid!

Maree...waiting is not always a bad thing, especially if the company is good...mind if I join in and sit and wait along?
Absolutely loved this
