Things She Dreams Of…

Copyright 2004 by:  Mark V Sheldon

To wake up in the morning
With a smile on her face
An upright bass transforming
A melody with grace

To be the inspiration
Within another’s heart
The center of creation
In poetry and art

To make music together
And share a common ground
That time and space will weather
Now that it has been found

To look upon the world
Through someone else’s eyes
And with those eyes unfurled
See all that never dies

To stand beside an equal
Who honors and respects
And helps her write a sequel
To thoughts she now reflects

To live life in the present
Creating all by feel
And savouring the pleasant
Results of what is real

Yes, all these things she dreams of
And many, many more
For these are things that make love
And life worth living for

I'm sure you wrote this one for me
So good to see you this morning, Mark!
Yes, she does dream. I especially enjoyed the upright bass imagery.

What a lovely inspiration - it uplifts the heart -

Hiya Kacy:  If you can relate to this, then by all means, claim it your own!

EagleScorpion:  Indeed...  To have the awareness and capacity of doing so is even more powerful.

babygirlwlove:  I'm pleased you enjoyed -- thanks!

Hey there LeeJ:  Thanks for the kind thought.

What's up, Raph?  The pleasure is in stopping by here for a quick visit.  Thanks for the thoughts, and never stop reminding...

Thank you kindly, Susan...  That's where the heart belongs...

If she finds those things, she's found life. If he finds a woman who truly values them, he's a lucky man.

Thank you very much, Martie.

Hi HeLen:  Nothing wrong in dreaming...

You're right, Ed...  then again...  some things don't even need words...
