Blessed be the raging seas
which harbor our catastrophies.

Protect us from the violent storms
which conjure up those wicked forms.

Guide our vessels through the endless night
which swallow whole a sailor’s plight.

Shroud the ancient shorelines raped
as forging froths from seas escaped.

Blessed be the raging sea
keeping safe the land and me.

I wrote this for an event we will be having  here in town this weekend called "Heat and Hurricane Expulsion".  It is sort of like blessing the sea and protecting our island from hurricanes and storms.

Love the imagery in these two lines.

Wonderful

A resident witch tells me if you light a candle and gently blow the smoke in the direction away from where the hurricane is blowing it helps but please, don't blow it toward Florida, they have sure had their share

How lovely your offering is to the sea, and I will also say, let you, "Blessed Be."

Thanks to you all who replied to my post.  The event was great and although it was a cloudy and humid day, we proceeded with the expelling of the heat and hurricanes.  With just a few droplets of rain, we ended with a sense of satisfaction that our job was done.
