Tree Talk

In a park far away on a bright sunny day,
I’d a moment to spend and I found a good friend.
Not a love would she be, but we sat ‘neath a tree
And we spoke of how life could be filled with such strife.

As we talked in the sun, it was really such fun,
For we had not a care in that moment somewhere.
Not a love would she be, but I sensed that a “we”
Would continue to last from that moment we cast.

Now that day’s slipped away, we are back in the fray
Of the days we have still as we drink of life’s fill.
Not a love would she be, that good friend ‘neath a tree.
But I think of that time and a moment sublime.

Did I say she has nice eyes?

Whooohoooo Ken!!
Love these moments when they happen in our lives..
sometimes our souls just connect with another immediately and you just know.
I love this...may I keep it?
Oh, btw, what colour were her eyes?

What a charming poem, Ken.  Isn't it wonderful when we can share special times with friends, and know that the friendship is returned?  Your tree-toned poem will be a for her, I'm sure!

Moments like these are treasures for all time to remember.

True, true, true....and....true.

Making new friends is rare enough in any part of life -- and in some, like this one we share, even more so.

....to find one with nice eyes, well....that's special anywhere!
