wrap-around

there have been nights longer than this one
they spill into your days 3 hours back
with afternoon tea at dawn

at least we share some of it together
me in my waking and you in your
wrap-around

i hold you tight
and cradle you with in the hollow of my eyes -
                           - dream after dream
to find your feet behind chairs
with toes in jazz two steps forward
one step back

over-board

and how i would sit cross-legged
on the floor for you

and wash the dust from them

cuz fate is not just whose cooking smells good
but which way the wind blows

interesting feel to this - like a tap dance done to jazz - like

Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

I know this was for someone else,
but change the hours slightly...
and I smile...
