Forgotten heroes rambled
sitars and drumbeats
as you warmed my face today.
I thought you had gone for good
leaving me with your sister-moon-child
and the grey damp of evening.

I could smell you in the breeze.

I smiled as each dying tress
fell from your children,
blanketing your body
in a psychedelic bridal gown.
How I would love to braid your hair
just once,
or hold your hand.

But all I have of you
is this day.

and i swear they wrapped me in their embrace this morning on the joggers track, whizzing around my head, crowning me once again, theleaf goddess......o autumn is magical, isnt it?

Huh?  Wait!  I took a shower, ok??

Seriously,  I enjoyed the words of this
poem...the yearn of it,  the want.  All
so well described...

Opps missed it!  I took this two ways actually Suzie, and loved my first image of those leaves on trees, laying at your feet, kinda worshipping ya, like we all tend to do yanno.  Some game eh?  5 hours I sat riveted to it!
