I went in the barn
and looked in the stalls
walked out in the fields
amid meadowlark calls
down by the river
that flows through the land
I got down on my knees
and dug deep in the sand
I looked in tree branches
I kicked at the dirt
I emptied my pockets
I took off my green shirt
no spot remained
in which I could look
for I had searched
every cranny and nook
so slowly I turned
all weary and beat
I headed on home
admitting defeat

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
