Red Herring In A Frozen Pond By: Noah Eaton 10/11/04 . . . ...red sky in the morning, sailor take warning, you're searching beyond platitudes, hoping to tap the silver in your voice... . . . ...tomorrow is cleaning its clock, we keep track in this acoustic workshop, awaiting results of nature's triglycerides test, to see if she can keep up with us, keep up with us... . . . ...We're merely treading water, water, where you once majestically swam... ...conspiracies of hope, don't bring you back to zero, they just carry you to the site of the aftermath... ...floating on the surface, a catatonic papparazzi, keeps us submerged, in character assassination flimflam... ...if you are going to walk on thin ice, well, you might as well dance... . . . ...fear keeps us enlisting, as donors of the rain, well where is all this rain coming from, if you're green around the gills... . . . ...you duck and abscond,, like a red herring in a frozen pond, but anyone can see your heart has cracked, through the echocardiogram... . . . ...We're merely treading water, water, where you once majestically swam... ...conspiracies of hope, don't bring you back to zero, they just carry you to the site of the aftermath... ...floating on the surface, a catatonic papparazzi, keeps us submerged, in character assassination flimflam... ...if you are going to walk on thin ice, well, you might as well dance... . . . . . . . All this will happen just as soon as you're ready, all this will happen just as soon as you're ready, all this will happen just as soon as you're ready, so where do we start, should we start where we begin? . . . ...We're merely treading water, water, where you once majestically swam... ...conspiracies of hope, don't bring you back to zero, they just carry you to the site of the aftermath... ...floating on the surface, a catatonic papparazzi, keeps us submerged, in character assassination flimflam... ...if you are going to walk on thin ice, well, you might as well dance... . . . ...you might as well dance... . . . . . What else in this damaged world, would you spend time looking for... . . . ...what else in this damaged world, would you spend time looking for... . . . ...what else in this damaged world, would you spend time looking for... . . . ...what else in this damaged world, would you spend time looking for... . . . . . . . . . . "You'll find something that's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20 |

...floating on the surface, a catatonic papparazzi, keeps us submerged, in character assassination flimflam lest we be reminded, if we wouldn't patronize, we'd put the papparazzi out of business completely, but we buy they're gossip? Why? Tremendous write...Bravo!!!!! |
