Within are hidden claws disguised
As are the thoughts of voice deprived
The punching bag a vented sigh
In silence I’m still asking why?

Why must days be lined with chore?
To bring on challenge more and more?
Where’s the playing field of dream?
And all the beauty I have seen?

So often we just hide our truth
While holding in the roar of youth
Wondering and kicking time
But staying where each day won’t rhyme

I see some roses where I sit
To set me off the track a bit
For there I see what I do miss
The feel of beauty, peace and kiss

Yet still I feel I have my share
But crave the things that just aren’t there
They might be dreams or what’s to come
But offer hope till days are done

But still the claws are there disguised
And still my voice has not arrived
I punch the bag each day and sigh
And mostly each day still ask why?

very introspective - i understand much of these feelings -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Oh, who does not know that kind of craving, dear Rick. Yet, when we stop craving, we find all we need .... it's the law of abundance.

The beauty resides within you.

'holding in the roar of youth'

Oh, how very much this thought knew me~
