Being Wind

“Sometimes you are the wind,”
you told me once, and so I wish;
I want the things the wind wants,
to do the things the wind does.

I want to ruffle your hair,
tease up your skirt a bit...
to press my lips and blow
a warm spot just...there...
and there....and later, there...
I want to turn your cheeks
all pink and bring you things,
sand, feathers, dandelion seeds
like singular snowflakes....

And I want, so want to blow
myself out to wherever you are,
I mean any time, anywhere,
anywhere at all....

To be the wind...I would like that too!  I love the idea.

This is wonderful - stirring, like the wind.

Such a soft, yearning bit of wind...
I, too, wish I had written this...
