Little roads peck at her feet
Shining shoes of twilight
Forming eternal mind
Of a woodland scene

Oh cedar tree of aromatic love
Blueberry swirls of luster
Keep surprise birthdays
Shingled white with content

A Venus sea touché
Plunging neckline of sentiment
Adorns the youth of age
Pure icons of blue glow
Flings sap from fallen rose

Vagabond is her name
Pearl drops hanging from her back
Of what she cannot wear
Let no broken breath
Rise from heartless maze

Clearly secrets owned
What is hers only
Kneeling where her mother kneeled
And hers before
Passing on years of battle
True loves mellow chirp
Filleted her flesh

Dropping quiet longing
Like the last Canadian goose
Flies with steady compass
Up the reddened tired eyes
Of morning, until she confessed
That she was but a blinded fool

Tightened garments prevent open dance
Unloosened, one can move mountains

and she will never be sure but
trusts as long as it's a friendship ring
she prefers peace and harmony
the heart speaks all that and more

she never met one whose actions spoke louder
that breed of long haired man is gone or taken

She enjoys her life, not flattered easily
as words always slide off to the left side
of the back of someone

she is not a man hater...but paints
a degree in time, where no one will touch
her that way again...

she likes not having to be a mom, to a man child

there are some people who enjoy solitude
despite an arguing culture
when lonely chips away her face
she remembers the pain of rejection

she remembers expectation
those ladders she couldn’t climb
words that left lives shattered
kisses of lovers who kept threads of women’s hair

tucked deep within their thoughts
like notches on their belts
spraying her like a cat marks his territory
marring sweet comradeship
with poison dipped arrows
life owed them something long gone
they did the best they knew
you can't give something you've never known

She drops a seed in her purse
Thinking it to be an herb
From the pit of a blessed universe
Which strolls along by her side
While they talk of not missing
What was never known
In days gone by....

Little roads peck at her feet
Shining shoes of twilight
Forming eternal mind

Of a woodland scene
With convincing triumph
Priceless the little things
Under waterfalls
she regrets nothing

Dear Lee, oh I am really happy that I found this, it's a masterpiece!

While reading I continued to think I will quote this, then this, then this ... it's a wonderful flow of intimate ponderings, that touched me deeply.

In the end I have decided to quote this:

quote:
Clearly secrets owned
What is hers only
Kneeling where her mother kneeled
And hers before
Passing on years of battle
True loves mellow chirp
Filleted her flesh

Oh, but this one too:

quote:
She drops a seed in her purse
Thinking it to be an herb
From the pit of a blessed universe
Which strolls along by her side
While they talk of not missing
What was never known
In days gone by....

You are beautiful!
And what a poet!

Love, Margherita
