Who Knocks

Who knocks upon my naïve door?
I hear a sound of sad implore
The hitching of the stage of night
The wrapping of the rage of flight

Go away you can’t come in
My walls are made of straw to thin
To keep the rage of night at bay
Nor can I cage the time of day

I cannot help your time to be
Nor can I make you better see
The path unto the evermore
Has passed my house the day before

It left a package of confuse
Some tissue for the blow of blues
A little brine to give to time
The essence of a drop of prime

Can’t you hear my cry of go?
It echoes in my sigh of sow.

wow...you live in a crack neighborhood, too, huh?

Oh I felt this one, and I know it well.

They don't knock much anymore...they figger I just might shoot.

But you can come knocking anytime. I'll just have to e mail you the serenity code to ensure safety first, however!

and a shivering g'mornin' to ya sy!

Your poem runs deeper than my pithiless reply m'friend. Kinda reminded me of the Ides of March, but in October.

Coffee...sigh, my curative.

Please just know, I think this one is one of your best ever.
Hugs and good morning, wavin over my coffee cup here....

Oh my Sy...
This one leaves much for me to think about.
I had better pour myself another cup
and go back for another read.
Well done m'friend.

Good morning, Sy!

Are you trying to wake or shake me up?  Such melancholy to weigh on wings of our wise owl!  You know that owls make their way through the forest soundless because of the lightweight structure of those wings.  Glad you lightened the load here and are ready for take off!  Have a wonderful day.  (I hope the sun is shining out there as nicely as it is here...) Nice to visit again...

Hello Seymour.
A very serious-minded poem today, my friend.
It makes a person ponder their thoughts.
As always, I love your rhyme, dear Sir.
Hugs,
Ethel

Oh, my, Sweet Sy, your door be not "naive". Nor do I believe that your walls to be made of straw and thin. You are wise and your walls and will are strong, oh mighty sonneteer!

The path to evermore returns and shows you the way of Light and happiness!

You have no need for tissues, my friend. All is well and I send you lots of angel comfort.

I sure wish you were onto something Sy, if we could ONLY get them to knock that would make it so much easier wouldn't it?  There is not a poem goes by I don't learn to think about things a bit differently than I did through that bright Sy eyes, and soul.
