sunburn swallows of sand
I knew the voice of hollow men
when they were gravel on glass
and their knees were prayers
to concrete gods with closed eyes

my tattoos carried guns
and my night was a womb
there was no woman there
only the pain of labor
and the crying of silence

the gypsy brought a butterfly
with metal winged knives
and danced for my shadows
she had secrets in her bosom
but the cold told her lies

when tomorrow wears cameos
of mountains with pale eyes
I will find her woman there
and drink her from the seams
of the lady she wears as armor

she will taste of shadows then

Wow Dark - this one speaks deeply and moves my soul with its whispers -

Me, I'll take the gypsy....secrets and butterflies reveal themselves....and so do...other things.
