The time has come the woman said
to speak of many things
of life and death and memories
and what the future holds.

And all who sat with bated breath
as one became obsessed
and rose up dressed to kill
the awesome monster, fear.

Two by two the lines grew long
and snaked around the truth
till weary travelers lost the thread
and started back again.

The few I counted on one hand
remained to stand the test
and celebrate the advent of
a different point of view.

But time is short the woman said

The chairman and the treasurer
were known to steal the plot
but said the three remaining …
To hell with it, we’re free!

Thanks icebox.  That better place we find always lies within the mind.
