Within the purple hue of evening
there in the capture making credence
of this and that within my view
I nectar the sweet
lace of falling dark
and feel your trailing finger
on my heart

Alive alone
a song I hear along the canvas
of my elusive painting
the color dripping down blue

Could I divine the choir of my voice
if I had the chance to dance
or walk along the river    what my choice

I would dive into your waves
find the estuary from this road into your opening cave
and there I’d gladly drown
to be saved

My dear lady, I have a feeling that your voice IS the choir.  Matter of fact, I seem to recall that it actually holds the sheet music also.  As for the color dripping blue, perhaps a walk along the Kern this time of year bring back the vibrance of color.  You pen passion well, but you hold life's hand in passion and have since I have known you.  Lovely write as always.

Martie,
Tender are the thoughts this conjurs in my broken heart. And healing is the result again. Thank you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

=============================

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
and you do.............
every time you pick up a pen.

and every word of this is divine.

I would love to live as a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.

Dance, dance! The river will always be there.

There is such a strain in this, such an interplay of conflicting wants and needs....I feel for you, angel, I really do.

Wish I could help.

So many lines in this reached straight into my heart... but the ending really says it all... and does so beautifully. *S*

You always amaze me with the words that you
find,  paste and paint into your poetic
canvas.  Always a treasure to read.

Such a warm and caring poem.  Well done!  Ken

Ah good...someone good and kind bumped this up for me because they knew I was not connected to the 'net, and they knew I would have to see how a trailing finger...

could mean so much...

oh Martie...have I thanked you and Taylor yet, for making my California stay, so very, very special?
