Patient sounds
Damp wool suit morning
Lingering smells,
Unplanned images
Pinched me playfully between
Thumb and forefinger
Heredity before the rain

Brief silhouettes shone
With puzzled smiles
From the parlor of champagne
Mixed generously with chambord
Blushing noses swollen
Half-walking mathematical problem

Uncertain steps, pull my shoulder
Turning me around
With dress boots & a snicker
Drops of water catching porch lights
Nimble slickers of collective structures
Pointing to the sky, like a martyr
Wondering about things to do
Laughing wanders away

I memorize preacher certainty
Bending the voice of smart distance
Adjusting arms, for good balance
Shaking pyramidal tents of grey canvas
With fire popping like pop corn

Bright stirs in the air wick of bright eyes
Despite this mélange haze
Spoon feeding my now, thin skin
Like gypsy music swarming in words
With a backstop of river-birch trees
Rereading what first fell under my eyes

Firm textures walking the long and narrow
Of colors and equal consensus
I become slave to this metaphoric scroll
It’s characteristic is freedom
With fits and seizures
Averting trade
To wise people, you meet along the road
But then, this the government
Of windfalls
Card games of natural law
On the slightest ground

Discreet threads should know
Of treatment kind and fair
My small waist band turns into
A lion’s head, kittenish and playful
Despite the unpleasant brute of
A slammed door, nicking my paw
But hey, stars still unfold
To erase manners rude & unpredictable
Look!!!! The mist is clearning
