October Women

It seems I'm born to love October women
seems I'd destined to be chasing them
down the finger painted autumn dusk
drawn by their warm scented musk
holding my heart in my hands

Before the falling curtain of night
I plead my case before the light
of the fading embers of the sun
you see there's this special one
holding my heart in her hands

Ah, to capture her grace in my art
to live within her warm scarlet heart
that's all I'll ever need for life
this love cuts me like a knife
it's a feeling I can't explain

She's got that rospetal blush coloring her smile
such a wonderful smile, mile to mile
curling like a spring bloom when I act like a fool
a fool reserved only for her

I was born to an October woman
so I think know a little about them
in the smiling eyes of the coming dawn
with all my soul, I dedicate my song
to a certain special October woman
who has made me see who I am
she probably doesn't even realize
what an effect she has on me

I've got a rosepetal love burning inside me
and someday I'll let my feelings free
so she'll finally know
and inside her it will grow
let it keep her warm in the October snow
let it stay with her
and if she ever needs it
straight from the source
well, I'll be right here.

just something about them for some reason
makes them become your desire

I truly loved this piece because there was just something so tender and loving about it. I could feel your gentle spirit in it and your steadfast love for your October woman.

Sigh - my Mother was an October woman, a moste lovely and beautiful soul, inside and out - who can blame you.  Beautiful.
