A Conversation with Yesterday

She looked familiar,
I thought,
as we spoke of likenesses that bound us
in a conversation of passion,
perhaps more fittingly,
compulsion,
of promise to bring truths to page by pen.

Though I had always relied
upon my hand to speak my mind,
I now found no words to describe
her light which shown divinely upon truths
I thought were buried long ago with
master artisans of the word.

I have traveled this Earth many more years
than she but her promise was closer at hand.
Adolescent innocence could not claim
naiveté for in her I read the
unconditional wisdom of prophets

In youth,
it seems,
Lesser to be understood
than the reader to understand.

It was then I remembered her…
She as me-
Then...
With a desire
to be she again.

Oh WOW Patricia...this is beautiful and so are you

Maree.

It's a

Well I see you doing, What I try to do for me, With the words from a poet, And a voice from a choir, And a melody, nothing else matters. ~Stevie Nicks

The rediscovery of youth.

I've had so many of these "flashbacks".

Loved it!

She still dwells within you ....

A very beautiful conversation, dear Patricia!

Who started it?

It was her who reminded you of who you are ...

A beautiful soul.

Love, Margherita

reminds me of conversations with my daughters... I am enjoying watching them discover who they are, what they want, and missing just a bit, when it was my turn...( at the same time realizing, my mom is still watching me learn who I am) enjoyed this very much.
