Cellular bottom feeders start
Apocalypse shark frenzy
Mama can you hear me?
Bandages view wish lists
Telling someone the truth
A new style to will
With great force cutting portraits
Of a great revolution
Age matters in a lonely planet
Is anybody out there?
Pasted to the canvas
Blasting a welcome?
From the lonely hearts club
With dirt under my fingers
Bed sores
Herbal Formulas
Déjà vu speaks out
Warning sailors
Taking a lottery cruise home
Possible disease exposure
Withdrawals it’s cost
Celebrating shares of laughter
Limping home
Collecting organ donators
From professional sports
Rejected wax treatments
Walk on their hands
For a complete make over
While smart carbs, grow glands
Playing blue chip winners
Committed to the cause
Of making friends for life
Following fat balloons
And a one armed bandit
While an old woman strings
Salty breeze from the sea
Placing shimmers of green
In her music box outings
Not those of the artist
But from deficiencies worn
From a little poured dream
She’s worked hard all her life
Keeping her teeth clean
In a little mason jar
They Deserve much much more!

Oh my LeeJ - this was excellent.  The elderly should be revered and admired, their opinions sought after, their wisdom shared.  My life has been greatly enriched by the circle of family it has been my pleasure to be surrounded by - this included my mother taking care of my Grandparents, and then I helping to take care of my Mother and now my Father.  A blessing indeed -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Though I thought you wrote a poem about me....and found out it wasn't...still wasn't disappointed..

I have a friend she is up in her eighties.
She has so many treasures to share. One day she had her cedar chest open and sorting through. So many stories she had tucked away.
A dress made of sequins and beads from a ball she went to as a young girl. A fan so sheer and delicate...lace and beads with feathers. Books, pictures.
Some of the folks of today in such a hurry pushing aside the old as if unworthy of their time. They do not know in their hurry through life what they are missing.
Well will you look at me. Haven't brought my soapbox here in along time.
See Ya
Your Friend
