If I fail to come,
please blame it on the mist
a silken gown-
that shrouds the full moon's light
and veils your milk white breast.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<@>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the mist fades,
the harvest moon waxes full
in a silk blue sky-
milk white on your breasts
as your gown slips away.
I was glad to see your name--your poetry is always so exquisite.  Take for example the first waka.  It involves one right away
"If I fail to come, please blame it on the mist"
I liked the second waka, too, but the first was exceptional!  Enjoyed.
This is BEAUTIFUL !!!!
Can you hear the *sighs* from down Florida way ?
Last evening as I stood out in the yard,
I saw the mist-in-move across the moon~
You've written it soooooooooo well~
Aww, Thank you Cathy, you are very perceptive ...  The first poem flowed right out, the second one doesn't feel quite as immediate or even "finished" -if one ever is....Glad you enjoyed   ~P
