For Love I lived for love and gave love Got none back at all And when there was none to give Found no one there at all And when I reach the end, some day No one will ever recall, One who loved so selflessly But was never loved at all. But on my humble tomb, that day, The epitaph will say it all I chose to love and not be loved Than never to love at all. |

anwaar, This is simply beautiful and it will be a "must have" keeper in my library. Although your poem gives the illusion that you unselfishly loved and haven't received love in return, I'd wager to say, you were loved (maybe not by whom you desired at the time, but perhaps by others who you didn't see...) miscellanea |
