~* Tanka For Atonement *~

Yom Kippur’s mission
To become like the angels
Spiritual beings
Cleansing of heart, mind and soul
A chance for new beginnings.

~ * ~
As you forgive others, shall you also be forgiven.
Have a blessed Yom Kippur.

Today, thus far on this holiest of days, a deadly air strike took place in Gaza killing one, and injuring innocent civilians, as well as 35 homes have been razed.  May the dead be with the angels.

Strangely enough today is also the day the wrath Jeanne meets Yom Kippur.

I don't know my Tanka from Sanka, but I do know that forgiveness is constant necessity in all religions.

You're a bit of a soliwitch yerself and pretty darned eclectic too.

Enjoyed the thoughts, and yes'm, my candle has stayed alit for our Florida friends.

On such a holy day, more crisis could not have taken place in this world, especially in Florida where in fact, about 750,000 Jews live making it the third largest Jewish population in the United States, and the numbers continue to rise contributing to their society.

At first I thought it terrible that the force of Jeanne hit worst on the day of Atonement, but then realized the very principle of this day is to forgive so you are forgiven, and knew all would be just fine.

Again, Shalom to all our Jewish friends, and I pray you are all getting back to normal somewhat after quite an eventful day.
