Sublimation

Cloistered inside the thin, grey, sensorial mesh
of a screen porch,
he offered his thoughts, first,
through the ruled but intimate context
of a small prayer book. Hunched by the subject
about which his pen whispered,
at page end he stood and stretched
with ritual relief. Before turning to his correspondence
his eyes considered the width of a path
as it curved into the lush undergrowth.

I like this, the portrait of a mere moment - nice.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
