Apart from the obvious signs,
that were many
growing thick
below eye level
untended instincts
mistaken for anxieties
ripe for weeding out

no-one suspected

and least of all,

I.

There was nothing written
in words
or in your still-smiles
and I could not draw enough
of that landscape
and languages
felt in a sun
that had shone
over so many other
conversations
than ours.

Maybe it was
that first dazzle
of early summer sun,

that danced you
before my eyes
long after
the day is over

an afterimage
of a part of you
kneeling upon unsalvageable grounds

grounds,
that I love

even now.

I never would have guessed

Aerial views
would be so perfect

despite
the grave endings
that meant
losing touch

with so many shades of green.

A patchwork
of seperate lives,

has never been so beautiful.

YOU WROTE MY POEM

a friend turned me onto this site and hey, I'm weird and like strange sorta stuff, but I fell in love with aerial photography:

You leave me amazed, shaking my head, and glad, very glad you wrote it instead of me.

I'd have just rhymed mountains or some such nonsense...

grin

Ah geez....meant to comment on this earlier, but got all distracted by Karen's link.

Geez, and I'm sorry I was a distraction!

I was just kind of freaked in the moment, gem...one of those synchronicity thangs, and I dunno why, but they still delight and startle me!

I'll try to behave in the future.

This poem is striking in its construction, just like as apparent as the title conveys.

Warmest regards, and my apologies for the added link - I just get so excited sometimes.

I must've accidently forgotten to post a comment, because I remember reading this. I wanted to tell you how wonderful this is, as with all your writings, I feel I can relate to you. It helps.
