        Stars Of Your Own (for Martie, on her birthday)

Stars count for something                That’s the rumor anyway;
       so they say,                        I don’t believe it.
         and think that where                the world’s a mass
     the world is                      in orbit around a star;
       when you’re born              gravity tells your fortune
    says who you’ll be,                 if you stumble or a crane
  tells your fortune.                should drop the grand piano.

You do have a sign,             I know this:
      but not one in                     we are spirit
     the Zodiac;                     and spirits are eternal;
  this is your sign,            there’s no birth day,
    your constellation,         no birthdays ever
  the defining statement     and no death to fear.
  of your presence here:    and yes, I know your sign:

                     You were born under
                  the sun and the north star;
                    one a steady, steadfast
                      guide and inspiration,
                       one that brings our
                     daily light and warmth.

                       Those are the stars
                           that formed you,
                            and no others.

My what a lovely poem for Martie, and sometimes I think you may indeed be right!  She is indeed not only a star, but a very bright one to guide us all here in her craft, and kindness.

Again, Happy Birthday to Martie, and let's all wish this to be her best year ever okay?

And this, my friend, is just ONE of the reasons I think YOU ARE SPECIAL~

'You were born under
                  the sun and the north star;
                    one a steady, steadfast
                      guide and inspiration,
                       one that brings our
                     daily light and warmth.

                       Those are the stars
                           that formed you,
                            and no others.'

~To give so freely of your loving care, to wrap the stars around our Martie in celebrate of her life ... not measured in just one day ... but for the ALL OF HER~

Thank YOU~

What a beautiful, loving gift this is! *S*

I know this:
we are spirit
and spirits are eternal;
there’s no birth day,
no birthdays ever
and no death to fear.

Your dual voices blend with perfection... but some lines are particularly breathtaking... these went straight to the heart. *S*

J darling man this is such a melding of wonder, what a fabulous gift to give someone for their birthday. You are a true delight and this is pure starlight, I love it utterly, utterly, utterly

How you manage to combine the duel voices in this into a complete wonder is a mystery to me, I only know that its makes one of those special poems that will stay in my memory for a long time. Truly outstanding darling man.

Love and warm stuff
as always
