Cresting me even with odd
Oh laughing lips of smooth beach
Gold familiar names moved
To the inn of nature’s soul

Lavished 101 fortunes fill my mind
With soft sighs and noontides
Sun fingers council misgivings
Weeping to seize those moments
That ran dry with my silent flight
Numbering all my faults
With courage under fire
And a long, long way to see

Forever changed and branded
Like a cow giving sour milk
From watching horror films
I remember my happy girlhood
Reciting prayers on my knees
Hands folded begging
For nationwide evening stars
To fill they’re hungry little bodies
In those 3rd world countries
You know the ones on TV?

I rest in my cubical
Thinking it to be a palace
Somewhere in the middle of the world
Pondering about the Ark
Wondering why they can’t find it
And He had the nerve to call my life dull?
Will it surface during floods?
The Ark…pay attention, will ya?
In this reality of illusions or
Some sick little strict law?
Or will all Gods and Goddesses
Wiggle their noses
With a touch that only the beauty of love knows
Mapping directions to that place
With no abrasions

Until then, sipping on green pastures
In my boring little world
Shifting axis’s every minute of the day
as I shake my fist while screaming
"Don't you dare ever lie to me again"
Even in omission
Angry? you betcha
But smile, because of the hand that feeds me

You have a magic hand that weaves words into such masterful poems.

Great write!

Lee

As usual I work through your words and find them inspirational, probably because I can't understand them but in my usual fashion, my attempt at understanding.

dave

Drinking of solitude
Remembering dangerous encounters
Running odds
On a smile and desire
Of inner sense and meaning

And He had the nerve to call my life dull?

Like a Sheriff's toll road

Will it surface during floods?

Mapping directions to that place
With no abrasions

Bottoming out

But smile, because of the hand that feeds me

Interesting indeed..I especially like the part about the cubicle being a palace..and the ark. Very nice indeed

Awesome thoughts, powerfully expressed!
