Golf greens survive
a putter swing knows
so does emerald turf
weed shouldn't grow

Home to a friendly mut's dig
the frills of sand pits, ponds
ardent fan throngs
blissful day for a caddy ride
what could a golf green ever hide?

Mid range wavelength
paints single Kentucky blades
that sooths my eye
balances my red of anger

all about a hole in one?
golfer's swing should know
blissful day for caddy ride
apparently there's naught to hide
but faint memories of envy's sandtrap
or the ardour of competitive greed
there's more in golf greens to heed.

like watching tournaments or the occasional horse jump competition, yesterday CN international, you caught me just as I slanted the ending towards the more forboding association to greed/envy, thanks for the read
