Of Page and Stage

I act upon a stage and write upon a page
Mindful of periphery, desire in a cage
I see the world about me in the corner of my eye
Tie laces into a bow to look a butterfly

Mindful of the gage of time and quick silver of prime
I try my best the ink of grime to write in proper rhyme
And while the curtains stay in open of my gift
I would this day to ascertain a laugh upon my lift

Now picture if you can my flight upon a hurricane
The flapping of my wings upon this winds insane
Tumbling and bumbling head over heel
A clown within the clouds in fumbling appeal

I see myself in many ways a clown of much naïve
Fumbling and bumbling with my heart upon my sleeve
And all my whys just make me laugh the tumbling of chaff
And could you picture me and see tumbleweed of craft

Let yourself a moment free to fall upon the sward
And offer up a little prayer to fall upon the lord

This reminded me of so many things...
like Thorn Birds...
and opera...
ballerinas and Fantasia...
and Mother Nature, lest we not take her
for granted...
and it most certainly reminded me
why I miss you when you don't leave
your daily lines...

Good morning, Sir Tumbleweed!

"I try my best the ink of grime to write in proper rhyme"

~ Mission accomplished!

"I would this day to ascertain a laugh upon my lift"

~ Mission accomplished!

"Now picture if you can my flight upon a hurricane
The flapping of my wings upon this winds insane
Tumbling and bumbling head over heel
A clown within the clouds in fumbling appeal"

~ With discombobulatingly descriptive writing such as that, I most definitely pictured it! Mission accomplished! (Mind you, it was somewhat disconcerting to picture you being tossed about as if you were a rudderless ship on raging high seas!)

"And all my whys just make me laugh the tumbling of chaff"

~ I love an Earthling with a sense of hue-mah!

"And could you picture me and see tumbleweed of craft"

~ Most assuredly, I could!

"Let yourself a moment free to fall upon the sward
And offer up a little prayer to fall upon the lord"

~ Considered it done!

Whenever I have closed one of my replies to you with "fly high" ~ I had not meant by hurricane force winds! I meant with drugs! ~ No, no! I'm just joking! ~ I meant on the nectar of life! You must forgive me. Your Earthly sense of hue-mah is highly contagious!

Love & Light & Laughter,
EA

You write so flowingly it easy to be carried along with your words.

Seymour~

I think you not a clown
but I can picture you
Tumbling with the hurricane
caught in it's mighty brew~

Ever mindful of your ink
splashed about in playful think
Another side of you to love
spreading laughter while things swirl above~

*Thankee for the beauty of you*
