Shades of Butterflies

A butterfly had crossed my path
I saw it through a due drop lie
It thawed the sour of my wrath
Distorted in a wine soaked sky

My thoughts were thunder full of grime
Bolting lighting from my core
It melted through the mist of time
To catch the wind of evermore

And I was drawn into its grace
Into a field of greenery
Transmitted into time and space
A fantasy of scenery

It’s there I shed a tear of loss
That fell into a shallow well
In truth within my bed I toss
And cried allowed, my Isabel

It’s where I go to seek her soul
A flower on a phantom shoal

You adorn the wings
in glimmer gold...
and sing the tales
of days of old...

You know I love it when you do this...

too lovely, ethereal even

I do think you meant "dew" instead of "due" but if you meant "due" help me understand the subtle intent that I have missed.

I especially love the 2nd to last stanza of your sonnet. (It is a sonnet, right?)

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

May you forever "catch the wind of evermore"
and be drawn into the fantazzmagorical grace of a "field of greenery".

~ and may God grant you unlimited time and space for your travels.

Sending you a rainbow of every shade of butterfly,
EA

I learn so much from you each day Sy, and today was no different in starting me off on a positive note.

This reminded me of my granddaughters' favorite Christian story I read them as we love butterflies too.  It is called, "Butterfly Story, A Spiritual Journey",by Dr. Jeff Sandoz, Copyright 1997.
This is our favorite part of that story,
quote:
"The Butterfly spoke,

"I have always called you unto myself. The hunger that you have felt has been a hunger which called you out of yourselves. It has been a longing for me, the True Light. Now your hunger shall be satisfied, for you shall be with me forever."

Here is a link should you ever find time to enjoy this story, and the main site is our favorite hangout

Ooops! I just noticed that I had written "limited" in my reply! I have now duly changed that to "unlimited"!
