I hold the hands of minutes pass
As hours rush on by
I try to keep some moments mine
Before they pass and die

But time has too much pressure
I find I cannot hold
So by goes by the moment
As I grow further old

In memory I do try to keep
But time brings on forget
Too short our days of joy do last
Too long each felt regret

So still I hold to moments
For each is memory laced
Each moment builds a lifetime
Too short a time to waste

AMEN!!!

All to oft, we find this way to late...and yet, it's never to late to change our way of thinking and find the fortunes we were given...you have my friend...your poetry is clearly wise and brings warmth and smiles to the readers heart.

Rick,
So still I hold to moments

Isn't this the truth!!  Another terrific write!

too often we focus either on the future or on the past...living the present moment is definately a good thing, relishing the moments we have had...you got me thinking Rick...too long I have not lived my present moment

miscellanea, great to see you here again, thank you so much for your reply, very much appreciated.

Dear Dixie, I enjoy you on each meet, great to have you visit again dear friend, thank you.

Copperbell, thank you so much for your visit, I think it is very hard to live for the moment, often we just think of that moment and what we should have done, at least it gives us a little hope of what could be, great to see you.

To you all my friends, again thank you for your words and visit, much appreciated.

Sincerely
Rick
