I wrote this one this morning looking out the east door at work and
seeing the sunrise...

Morning Sun

Morning sun blushes the sky
Purple to pink
As starlight seeps
To an early morning haze

Breathing deeply I feel
The scent of the day
Fresh morning dew
Aching for the earth

I gaze at your memory
Slumbering in my forever
Humbled with the knowing
Of grace and renewal

I reach out fingers to touch
Only a wisp of a whisper
Your thoughts sparking my soul
Forming a cascade of words
