I, found myself within this tree who knew me.
In the form of what I rest in
now, covered with Earth.
Those leaves each year,
from this tree who knew me.
Would talk and shower
the clover, for the cover of my worth.
How many skies last that way,
knowing we'd meet so far away.
how many others, could see me then.
When the roads were long,
from just again.
These moments you told,
from that place in our mind.
Where light dances-darkness,
to a humbled sign.
Like a leaf-drift and free.
the ending will be.
Just ask, this tree who knew me.

If nothing is something
then everything is
our thoughts and feelings
and all that exists.

This is AMAZING!

Wayne . . . they DO!

I adore how this slips
from the page, melting down
the screen, onto my desk.

It is silk . . .

This
is an aftervoice,
an echo in the dark,
thoughts I would
want to hear,
knowing that
all things
are right.

This is also a very well crafted poem.

Thank you mysticpoe...it's good to see you in the blue pages once again!

MysticPoe~
Oh my how deeply this touches me as I tour my community after the devastation left from hurricane Frances~
My trees ... my friends lay all around me~

Yes ... I knew them well ... and they knew me~
Thank you for this~

Thanks to all of you for reading and your very kind responses. I haven't been around for awhile. Nice to hear from all of you again. You probably won't see this thank you. So I'll catch you all in your poems.

Thanks again.

Trees are very supportive friends...if only more people were aware of the more that is in them.  Loved this poem!

Boy, this forum always did move fast.

Andrew A. , thanks for reading, dreaming is a good thing and your comment just improved it. Thanks for stopping by.

Martie, most of us seem to take them ( the trees ) for granted. I agree, they are a wonderous thing in our lives. Think also of the write metaphorically, with the tree symbolizing something else. Great response. Much appreciated.

Sunshine, One of the many reason's why you are, "Sunshine". Thanks for the boost here. Forgot how nice this forum could be. I'll be back more often.

Thanks again all, the best.

...and to FEEL as the mountains FEEL, because they FEEL so much closer. It's like looking for something and never being able to find it. Only to find out that it's been in your pocket all the time. The key is not to try to find it. Because we already have it.
Thanks again Kacy.
