Within a Dream

I hung the moon within a dream
With silver streams of glowing gleam
Making phantoms dance to light
Effervescing in the night

Set desires mental setting
Into bonding and a wedding
Sized it to a perfect fit
And smiled upon this mental wit.

It warmed my heart a wistful start
This fantasy of dreamer’s art
And took me to a pageantry
A place of loving ecstacy

And though the words cannot explain
A walk within a dreamer’s lane
For each will reach a different goal
And each will touch a different soul

But all will feel the dove of love
And time will wear a velvet glove

This is so beautifully written! I love it, especially these lines:

"And though the words cannot explain
A walk within a dreamer’s lane
For each will reach a different goal
And each will touch a different soul

But all will feel the dove of love
And time will wear a velvet glove"

Thanks for sharing something so beautiful.

So, so true, dear Sy...
for there are always two ways
to walk a path; either
together, or separately...

You make my days glow...

Yes Sy,  it will...and time will wear that
glove...as we go into our tomorrows of
unknowns and uncertainties...Well done, sir.

I had a really nice response to this before I read Toe's comment.  He got me laughing and really got me off the track!

Ok.  I'll try again!  I like the way you transport the reader to such nice places and times.  I always hear melody in your poetry.
Again, a pleasure to read.

For each will reach a different goal
And each will touch a different soul

You can rhyme with the best of them Sy,
but it is the meaning within your message
that tugs at my heart strings.

Lovely Poem, Seymour~
