Sun & Moon

Lost in the bittersweet
the bitter deep inside me swelling
aching for your approving smile
that I've been missing all this while
all the time you've stayed away
I've been discovering my inner self
that you suspected I hid away from you
the conversations ring in my head
the regrets we shared evaporating
within the intangible wamth
that we pretended wasn't there
there were days, so many days
when the words between us
slowed to a calm drizzle
playing our blues on the cold streets
but I was always happy you were listening
I was always in love
with the music you'd make
in shades of faded blue
catching my attention and my heart
trapping our emotions together
in a net of this relationship
I call deep as the ocean
and high as the sky
kindred spirits finding eachother
in the shadows beyond
the love we chase down
like the sun chases the moon
never will it end

"Poets are all who love, who feel great truths, and tell them; and the truth of truths is love." --Philip James Bailey

Like the sun chases the moon - cool!

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
