I tried, with eyes closed and mind settled
and yet something inside me
kept waking up until it no longer mattered
that sleep wouldn't overcome it all
and here I am...

I awoke with the taste of those thoughts
choking me and a light in the distance
drawing me past the midnight hour
to seek out the passion in your hearts.

And as I bury myself in words,
the resistance slows
and the weavers of the night
work their magic to return me
to dream, once more.

M,
That explains why you are up so late. Sweet dreams dear friend, you deserve them.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

It's always good to dream and sleep isn't always a pre-requisite.  Sometimes, I guess, it's also good to stop dreaming but I'll let you know when I'm sure about that.
Take care!
