I once pretended to fake a smile,
which you mistook as sincere.
shrugging a sigh of indifference,
you left.

don’t know if that’s what I was going for,
but the sway of your exasperation walking away
was enough to excite even the most tolerant of men.

and you know I’ve never been that tolerant.

Christopher - May I keep this one? Thanks!
It reminds me of something which took place years ago. My anger and frustration affected a certain someone exactly this way. I could go on ... but ... I think not.
so good to read your words again. Chris

I like the way you wrote this one.  Just a couple of verses but you showed the whole scene.

I'm sure it was exactly what you were going for...

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Oh goodness sakes, gotta love that.

Patience and tolerance have never been my forte,
but I'll keep plugging away, and just maybe get it right someday.

Love your take Christopher~

LOL, I would never have thought (in)tolerance could in any way be connected with a sway.

This is rather a different style from you and one that I like very much.

Despite the apparent light-heartedness, there is just the twingiest of regret in the meeting of the apparent paradox.

More like these please?
