(Several years ago, God pleaded with my wife to become the caretaker of His garden in Heaven. Shortly before the angels gently wrapped their crystalline arms about her, and lifted her precious rose-scented soul starward, I wrote this poem for her. Often in the early morning, God and I watched her in her garden - her pale, fragile hands making the roses seem but redder as she caressed them 'midst the dew drops weeped by Mother Earth. She spoke to all the roses by their names, as her heart-shaped lips placed kisses on their petaled cheeks. I cried often, my tears made bitter sweet from honey brought by mourning bees. When she became too weak to visit her garden, I took the names of ten of her favorite roses and wrote this little verbal bouquet. It is now engraved on her marble marker. Weekly, I have the caretaker of Death's granite garden place fresh roses around her resting heart. In the early morning I know she calls them all by name, as their dying stems drip nectar kisses to her snowy cheeks.)

"come my weepy, Cherished darling,
to our love's ruffled garden
where Fragrant Memories perfume the air.

"on the creaky, lonesome swing
where we sat soft Tropic' evenings
Perfect Moments will scent our hearts.

"though the Sheer Bliss has now wilted
and Simplic'ys' blooms are spilling
New Beginnings glow like dawn.

"wrapped in shades by Sunsplash cast
in your hair i'll weave Spellcasters
and again first kiss your Angel Face.

"come my Cherished, weeping darling,
Fragrant Memories are unfurling
in our love's ruffled garden."

My heart, it cries with tenderness for the beauty and love expressed here

What a beautifully poignant write, Sir.  You have come to a place where sometimes, we emerge, healed through both reading, and writing.

I encourage you to write on.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...
