Hi, Barry! Thanks for the kind words!

I changed the tense of the poem to the present, for yes, "they still are"!

Ah yes - the individual journey towards spiritual enlightenment.  I also see here the pilgramages made enmass to sites such as the wailing wall, or different shrines about the world.  I think, however, the truth is found already within us, a seed planted before this existence, to be fed, nurtured and tended, thus growing to fulfillment of our very quest.

Hugs you - I've missed you.

just so lovely... hugggssss you...

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Hi, girlfriend! I'm glad you popped by this evening! It appears that we both have been unbelievably busy and burning the midnight oil at the same time!

We all do have our moments of tromping and trudging ~ and running and flying! Of course, I much prefer to fly in my search for the Spirit Light! lol

What a brilliant piece of writing!  Of course the message is equally brilliant.  It is a journey we take collectively and individually.  In one form or another we strive to attain, or at least understand how to attain life everlasting.  There are so many interpretations we can get lost in all of the "red-tape" (so-to-speak) that defines a religious tradition, culture, ideal, etc.  I guess the main thing is to remember that what is important is not necessarily religion but a belief.  As for me?  I have Christian beliefs.  I believe Christianity is a belief not a religion and there I believe I will find my eternal life by grace.
It is also there I find elightenment.  You see how thought-provoking this piece is?  It is brilliant!

Warm regards,

Kevin

there is a point in time when everyone becomes aware of this, but for each, the timeing is different and the results are never the same...like everyone listening to a sentence, then playing whisper down the lane.

Tremendous write
