As I sat and pondered light,
There came a sound ever slight.
Drifting gentle, soft and sweet.
Slowly rising from my seat,
"What makes this sound, I must meet."
Like a dream,
This did seem,
Walking under sun's bright beam.
On through the trees,
Across the leas.
I tracked that tune until sunset.
At times so near, at times far yet.
I would not rest 'til our paths met.
On down the hill,
On pass the mill.
Soon day's light,
Passed into night,
Where sprinkle of stars burned so bright.
Through grove of tree,
Dark as could be,
I made my way most carefully.
With light ahead,
My pace I sped,
As there a meadow came to view,
Therin my quest stood real and true.
Twirling, dancing in shimmering blue.
Singing that song,
That brought me long.
A melody so sweet, yet strong.
I watched in awe,
At what I saw.
Afraid to move less frighten her.
Not knowing if this real for sure,
My mind reeling, then all ablur.
Entranced, gaze fixed,
Emotions all mixed.
Slowly I woke from deep of trance,
To watch her still in sensual prance,
Telling myself, "This is your chance!"
I stood upright,
And stepped to light,
Slowly moving into her sight.
She turned to see,
Then smiled at me.
So gracefully she came my way,
My heart pounding, my knees did sway.
"What took you so long?". she did say.
"I'm slow, I guess."
My best address.
With beaming smile she took my hand,
As we strolled on across the land,
Never needing to understand.

Sigh and smiling - soft as velvet-

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
