Feline Calisthenics

Feline Calisthenics
aerobic, I s’pose they’re not
but here the happen ev’ry day
from dawn to ‘round the clock.

You see I have this cat
whose genes are pure, through and through,
she must be on the other side
of any door, that’s true.

Especially for the ones
that are close or far away
as long as you can see them
she’ll give a staunch display.

She may pace and “yeaow” behind them;
she may sit with patience that is gold
but you can be sure she’ll let you know
you’ve vehemently been told.

Looks that pierce the conscience
as if she’s esp
she exerts each ounce of dom’nance
until she sees you see.

Then watching for your move
t’ward the latch that keeps her at bay
leaping with renewed vigor
because she’s had her way.

And you, you’ve had your exercise
in your ups and downs and strolls
at least you keep some limber
from your waist down to your toes.

Virginia,
Cats love obedient people! Fun write and oh so true...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

VAS,
I think Larry hit it on the spot.  Cats love obedient people.  Our cat can ask to go out and back in by the time she's finished her first meow.   I believe she does it to give ME the exercise!
  Enjoyable reading!

You don't own a cat it owns you. A cat is confidence with a tail.
