The sun is on the sage fields again, trees rising tall and green,
looking from up on high, the best sights to be seen.

Birds in the twilight call,
sonorous across the park,
as twililght unfolds to slow fading dark.

Far distant horizons of blue
i see rising up to the skies,
more of this fine day i will see ere this day it dies.

Robins bound and search,
for food on the ground,
seizing insects suddenly in one big springing bound.

Silence is sweet, just sitting resting still,
Chaffinch calls from woodlands edge,
while Mistle Thrush flies rattling into a hedge.

Moths in the tall grass flutter and flicker,
blackbirds sing from tops of trees,
Golfinches flying call liquidy on the soft cool breeze.

Wild flowers and aromatic plants,
to my left and to my right,
lone crow walking in the grass, it's black eye shining bright.

June the month, promising of days of sun to come,
variant shades of green, under skies of blue,
a time to sit and think, of beauty and colours of many a hue.....

Written at an earlier date...thought it might be good to remember..before autumn...and winter... come to all of us...

GR...

The supreme happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved. Victor Hugo.

I will always give your work respect, because I'm respectful. You caught a vivid picture of a place that could be very real and is in a realm different from my city life. I enjoyed thinking of the many colors. Green grass, yellow flowers, blue sky, white clouds...a lone crow with shining eyes...the silhouette of you, a stranger whose words I read. It was touching in a way that caused my heart to breathe happiness.
