Your twinkling eyes,
brighten your face,
As I see you looking at me,
Through a truly vast and empty space.

Your love for me,
Out shines even the brightest star,
It has meant more than I can explain,
From you, I know I have fallen far.

I love that you love me,
For nothing else has meant nmore,
Not even the person you are,
I have shut and locked that door.

It pains me to see,
It pains me to know,
What you would say to me,
Because I know you must go.

It is not your fault,
The fault lies with me,
Can you understand?
Can you see?

You are not the one to blame,
I am the one who is wrong,
I have been denying what I know,
Saying that I loved you,
When I've loved only your love for me all along.

Go easy on yourself, Kristabell.
It's not right to punish ourselves for loving.

I could tell you that it's always one person loving the other more... but I'm still learning myself.  Good write, Kristabell.   ....jo

  Kristabell,
There are hundreds of types of love, each being true.  The older I become, the more I think it is practically impossible for two people to have the same type and degree of love.  With that said, I agree with Bluesy.  "Go easy on yourself."  Who can say which type of love is the best?  Only time tells that...

That's it. Set them free immediately. (But I'm guessing you have done that already.)

Thanks everyone. I needed to hear that. I did get rid of him, and he turned out to be something different than what I thought. He told me all of these things that he hid. He even said he knew that it was not going to work out anyway. Oh well, time for an other poem, eh?
