Landscape of the American constitution,
History of independent dreamers
Bent on instilling civilian liberties.
Nation united, foundations of mutual respect,
Freedom of a free and unbiased free press,
Communicating civilians debating policies.

Trust of our elected politicians
Based on our factual personal intelligence,
Truth of their words paramount.
The Enron is total disaster,
Creative accounting of political motives
Disenchanting voters like stockholders.

The abuse of the electorate
Must stand the test of its branches,
Principles are its diversity of strength.
The executive corporate giant
Must have its checks and balances
Or flawed dictatorial policies will prosper.

Being an American is not being Republican
Nor is it about being a true blue Democrat.
Liberals today seem to have a color these days
In the past, they desegregated those oppressed.
Conservatives, God bless them for they are
The other side of the beautiful equation.

Rainbow faces of the diversities of culture
Every country in the world represented,
Allies in the common cause of civil liberties,
Holding hand in hand in God’s mass of humanity
Wealth of its masses from poor to filthy rich
For each vote carries the same weight.

Americans were never meant to be cloned
Inside blocks of political institutions
They are the judge and jury of our future.
Politicians have to defend themselves in facts
Not trumped up fabricated paranoia
Of what may happen but what did happen.

Elected officials fear independent voices,
Writers who create open minds
Fantasying liberal arts of communication
Creating beautiful gardens not stone fences.
The song inside an American must sing free
For we are so blessed in our flag of independence.
