Lost faceless in such darkness
Falling to memory,
More then simply alone
Ugly and friendless even in poem!

Quieting beat,
Breaking from fight
This heart began to sleep.
Restful, in release
From blackened night.

And lo’ how the chilled breath,
Of this earth so empty
Seduced my prayers to
Fancies of peaceful death.

I began fading to my leave, with less then sound
Sinking beneath unmarked ground, below all sight
Spooning into my hole, my grave
As would a child a warm bed in night.

When almost was I parted,
With nay a grieved thought
A beauteous moonlit wave
My final bed sought.

“Tis a tender gift from a generous soul,
Hosting pity for this broken dream!”
And in such sullen joy, I waited the Finnish
In the glow of such a graceful beam.

But as I basked in the growing warmth,
Rage exploded within my cries,
For this charity had stolen my ending,
And the Nervana of when one dies!!!

Twas not a gift, but a vicious tease!
That tingled my skin with touch,
And quickened my heart,
With unbidden disease!

“Oh how I would rip
the wonders and beauty
From the well
Possessioned owner of such
A fantastic cruelty !”

And as I bore up, unable to detour
The bright warmth,
on my path to revenge,
My violent notions grew fewer

For this stretch of light embracing me from above,
brought more then just illumination.
Embedded within, were the makings of hope!
kindness, understanding and love!

And as I brimmed my retired grave,
I found not my first thought villain so sinister!
But the hand that with I was saved,
Extending from the sincere love of my sister!

'But the hand that with I was saved,
Extending from the sincere love of my sister!'

You captured my emotions--your words just penetrated... What a lovely poem you have been given and shared.  It doesn't sound easy, but you've written it all so well...
