A Butterfly Is A Butterfly

Yes, of course they are.
Don't make the mistake
of making them the object
of your desires.

They will never
be anything more
than fleeting moments
of beauty, for admiring
eyes to see.

This is why they call
a butterfly a butterfly
Good for her.
Bad for me.

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Butterflies flutter bye-

Just remember, though, that butterflies were once worms, though most rather hairy.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Remember, Dear James, there are more butterflies in the meadow!

Happiness, even when it is fleeting, can be revisited in our mind's eye and heart.

"come my lady come come my lady. you're my butterfly, sugar, bebe."
This poem reminded me of a song I once heard. The poem is sad. Makes me almost wants to kill a butterfly. j/k.

very true, but beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, and in the heart, just remember that butterfly was once a caterpiller.
