In New Zealand Amongst the Ancient Trees

0 posted 2004-09-03 06:18 PM

In the place where we met
The slaves of destruction
Introduce me to the mysteries
of darkness beyond the night.
Birds have eaten the breadcrumbs
Left on the path as a guide
To finding the way back,
To that one place beyond time
Where I cannot be found.
Hastily, I place all my poems
In bottles for the sea,
So that in time, they may wash
Upon some far distant shore.
Where, amidst the grains of sand
You may find some fragments
that once upon a time were me.

Yeah, I want one too...but I want it tape recorded because New Zealanders have the best accents! You don't know Lucy Lawless do you!?

Anyway, nice poem. I really loved this:

In the place where we met
The slaves of destruction
Introduce me to the mysteries
of darkness beyond the night.

K, as I keep telling everyone, New Zealanders don't have accents, everyone else does, can't help you with the Lawless connection, sorry.
